Sean's Fundraiser for 'Sikat Saka: The Rise of Farmers and Seeds'

I have recently joined the Board of Global Seed Savers, an educational and advocacy international non-profit organization supporting smallholder farmers in creating local food sovereignty and fostering a healthy environment through technical training and the establishment of community-owned and operated seed libraries.

I am hoping that you will join me in supporting the 'Sikat Saka: The Rise of Farmers and Seeds' fundraiser. This is Global Seed Savers' month-long campaign in July to raise $25,000 USD to support our critical work.

Global Seed Savers is committed to supporting our partner farmers' ability to withstand the growing climate challenges and continue to be leaders feeding their communities and preserving biodiversity in agriculture throughout the Philippines. Sikat Saka is an extension of the numerous programs on food and seed sovereignty currently being undertaken by GSS. By supporting this campaign, you are enabling us to fulfill the following commitments:

• Hosting and offering regenerative agriculture workshops to help farmers redesign their farms for new climate realities.
• Supporting the opening of more seed libraries based in farming communities.
• Ensuring accessibility of locally-adapted seeds to more farmers and home gardeners.
• Providing on-farm tools and materials for our partners to implement their farm designs.
• Providing continuous technical support to our partner farmers.
• Advocate for strong local policy to support our campaign for a food and seed sovereignty.
